TARIFFS: All rates listed are in NZ dollars and inclusive of GST @ 15%.
CHECK IN-OUT
Check in is between 2pm – 10pm on the day of arrival. After hours arrivals are welcome, please contact hotel to arrange this. Check out by 10am on the day of departure. A later check-out may be possible, please contact reception should you require this (a charge may apply).
Early check in/late check-out
Subject to availability on the day, the Salisbury Hotel will endeavor to accommodate both early check-in and late check-out requests wherever possible. Should you require an early check-in or late check-out please contact our Reception team to arrange. There may be a charge applied for a late check-out.
CANCELLATIONS
The cancellation is free of charge 7 days prior to the date of arrival. After this time and 48 hours prior to check-in, any deposit will be retained or one night’s rate will be charged to the credit card provided. If reservation is cancelled within 48 hours before check-in, we charge the total amount for the room booked.
When customers are charged for cancelled accommodation, we will attempt to re-sell the room(s) in question and will refund all costs if successful. All cancellations and amendments must be received in writing.
This cancellation policy also applies to non-arrival without notification and to shortened stays.
For special event and group bookings, all cancellations within 7 days prior to the date of arrival will result in a cancellation fee of 100% charge of all rooms booked.
All non-refundable bookings are pre-paid, non-refundable and non-transferable.
Should your plans change, please contact us immediately as we will always try to accommodate our guests.
REFUND
Please be sure to inform within the following guidelines for a refund of your deposit. A cancellation number will be given to insure proper return of the deposit. If the cancellation does not meet guidelines, the deposit will be retained. Refunds will only be made the to the credit card debited for the original transaction.
When you cancel a booking and are entitled to a refund then we will instruct the refund right away. The processing will take between 2-4 weeks until the whole amount shows back on your credit card statement. Reasons for this are the billing cycle of your credit card company and processing time of the bank. The refund amount depends on numerous factors such as the hotel’s cancellation policy, time of cancellation fees. For more details see cancellation policy above.
In case a reservation that you make is not confirmed, we will not charge you anything on your credit card and release the whole amount that was held on it immediately. Now after we do this, it will still take a maximum of 2-4 weeks for the bank to process this and for the money to show back on your credit card.
RATES
Rates on this website do not apply to group bookings. Please contact hotel management for rates and special payment/cancellation terms and conditions for group bookings.
CHILD
Child (under 2 years) can stay free of charge with parents using existing. No free extra bed (or rollaway) and no meal is provided for a child in normal cases.
CHANGES to reservation
An extension to reservation term is a new booking and subject to availability. Any reduction in length of stay will be treated as a cancellation and subject to our standard cancellation policy.
No show – fail to arrive
As the Salisbury Hotel has a contract with you and holds your booking in good faith pending your arrival, if you fail to arrive for your booking, you will be charged the full cost of the accommodation booked.
Early departure
Early departure than the reserved date may not result in a refund, unless the Salisbury Hotel is able to replace the booking.
In the event of a late cancellation every effort will be made to resell the room and you will only be responsible for the cost if this is unsuccessful.
PAYMENT TERMS
All room charges must be paid on check in. Standard Rates – All reservations require a valid credit card. The credit card will not be debited but may be validated or pre-authorized (debit visa cards are accepted but must have a funds balance at all times, otherwise booking may cancel). If a current and valid credit card is not available at the time of check-in (a debit card is not acceptable) a cash bond of $200 will be required for security. The cash bond will be refunded after a room inspection, provided the room is in the same condition on your departure as it was when you arrived.
A pre-authorization will place the pre-authorized amount in a holding-state and temporarily reduce one’s credit card limit, but it is NOT a transaction charge and will not be reflected in one’s credit card statement. Depending on the bank that supplies the card, the pre-authorized amount will typically drop off after 14 days. For assurance, Guests whose credit cards have been pre-authorized are encouraged to check with their respective credit card bank to: – Confirm the understanding of pre-authorization – Confirm that a pre-authorization – and NOT a charge – has been performed – To confirm the pre-authorized amount and when it will drop off.
Credit card payments are subject to a 3% surcharge. Refunds will only be made to the credit card charged for the original transaction.
Full payment is required prior to departure unless arrangement has been made to invoice guest. Guest will be liable for all costs incurred recovering an overdue account.
Non-refundable Rates – The credit card may be debited for the full value of accommodation booked for the room type and room rate confirmed.
If an agreed deposit is not paid within the 5-day limit, the reservation will not be confirmed. If a credit card is declined or invalid the reservation will be cancelled.
VISITORS
Visitors are welcome but are not permitted on the premises after 10pm. We ask you to respect your fellow guests and noise must be kept to a minimum past this time. Parties and noisy gatherings are not permitted. Hotel management reserves the right to terminate the stay of any guest that does not comply with this rule. The registered guest is responsible for the behavior of all persons/visitors whilst on the property. All deliberate or reckless acts that result in damage to the Salisbury Hotel property, that require specialist cleaning or repair will be charged to the registered guest.
DAMAGE/LOSS
Any damage or loos to the room or property of Salisbury Hotel, whether intentional or accidental, should be reported immediately. Any extra cleaning, repairs or replacements required to restore our guest rooms or property to its normal condition will be charged to the registered guest at replacement cost or market rates, plus a charge for any resultant loss of income if applicable.
Room condition
If your room is left in an unsatisfactory state, this includes, excessive rubbish, misuse of hotel property (including Manchester), any unhygienic uncleanliness, soiling, excessive mess or odor in the kitchen, which causes excessive and unwarranted cleaning time by Salisbury Hotel staff, the Salisbury Hotel reserves the right to charge for the cost of extra cleaning, repairs or replacements required to restore our guest rooms or property to its normal condition.
Smoking
The Salisbury Hotel is a smoke free complex. Smoking is not permitted/allowed in any of the Salisbury Hotel’s rooms. If you do smoke inside our rooms, the Salisbury Hotel reserves the right to charge such costs and any resulting loss of income to the registered guest. “Resulting loss of income” could be the following guests refusing to stay in that booked room.
PETS
With the exception of guide dogs, we do not allow pets in our guest rooms.
Concerns or complaints
Should you experience any difficulties with your accommodation, please contact either our Reception staff or the manager during your stay to register your concern. Every effort will be made to rectify the situation and make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
